Zusammenfassung

Die junge Mabel West ist die Tochter des Krimiautors Raymond West, der ihr ein normales Leben bieten will. Sie rebelliert dagegen und möchte lieber Detektivin werden, weshalb sie nach London aufbricht um Assistentin von niemand geringerem als Hercule Poirot, dem bekannten belgischen Detektiv, zu werden. Schlussendlich gewinnt sie durch die Zusage zumindest regelmäßig Zeit bei ihrer Großtante Jane Marple in St. Mary Mead zu verbringen, die Zustimmung ihres Vaters und betritt eine Welt voll von Geheimnissen und spannenden Erlebnissen.
